What started
off as a
close game
turned out,
in the end,
to be a
total rout
by the
Los Angeles
Fuel,
who
dominated
the
Michigan
Bucks in
NFA Bowl
XIV, 33-17.
Led by a
well-balanced
attack
(except for
WR Mike
Sims-Walker),
the Fuel
were able to
outlast the
undermanned
Bucks, who
did not have
the services
of RB Steven
Jackson this
past
weekend.
So for the
first time
in franchise
history, the
Los Angeles
Fuel can
claim a
League
Championship
and hoist
the Halas
Cup as the
ultimate
representation
of victory
in the NFA.
Los Angeles
is now 1-1
in League
title games,
having lost
in NFA Bowl
X to the
Indianapolis
Cheeseheads.
But with
this NFA
Bowl XIV
victory,
that loss is
relegated to
ancient
history.
The Michigan Bucks, though, can take some solace in
that the MVP
of NFA Bowl
XIV was
Bucks
quarterback
Matt Schaub,
who
singlehandedly
kept the
Bucks within
striking
distance
early in the
game.
But this may
not provide
enough
comfort in
knowing that
they have
been to the
NFA Bowl in
consecutive
seasons with
nothing to
show for
their trips.
The League Office wants to thank all of the NFA owners
for yet
another
fantastic
and dramatic
2009 season.
Now it's
time to gear
up for the
unbelievable
fifteenth
season
leading up
to NFA Bowl
XV.
Enjoy the
offseason!
